Turkey to set up refugee camps near Syria's Idlib: Turkey will set up refugee camps with a total capacity of 170,000 at various locations under the control of Turkish army and Turkish-backed rebels, Hami Aksoy, the Turkish foreign ministry spokesman, said. Camps would be located in Idlib, as well as the areas of Azaz, Albil, Tugli, Tal Afar, Naddah, Bardakli and Mashad Rufi.

US admits YPG stops fighting ISIS, heads toward Afrin to attack Turkish forces: The U.S.-backed operations against the ISIS terrorist group in eastern Syria have been paused, U.S. Col. Rob Manning, a Pentagon spokesman, said on Monday, adding that its partner in the field, the People's Protection Units (YPG), have shifted focus from fighting against the terrorist group to fighting against Turkey's Operation Olive Branch in northwestern Afrin.

Putin, Erdogan discuss Syria's Ghouta, Afrin: Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan discussed the situation in Syria’s Eastern Ghouta during a telephone call. According to the Kremlin statement, Erdogan also informed Putin about Turkey’s operation in Syria’s Afrin.

No unilateral moves will be allowed in Cyprus, says Ankara: During a meeting in Ankara on March 7, Binali Yıldırım and his Turkish Cypriot counterpart Tufan Erhürman discussed strengthening the close cooperation between Turkey and Northern Cyprus as well as the Cyprus issue in general. Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım has reiterated Turkey’s stance that unilateral activities around Cyprus for hydrocarbons will not be tolerated. Ankara Ankara said it had information that an ExxonMobil ship was heading towards the east Mediterranean for oil and gas exploration.

Turkey, US begin talks in Washington to normalize relations: Talks between Turkish and the US officials have begun in Washington and several issues would be discussed, including Syria and Turkey's ongoing operation in Afrin, US state department officials said on Thursday. Turkish officials would also focus on Turkey's procurement of S-400 missile system from Russia, migration and visa issues with the US officials.

Turkish forces reach outskirts of Afrin town: Turkish forces have reached the outskirts of the town of Afrin after a weeks-long campaign against a Kurdish militia in northwest Syria. Afrin is separated from a much larger area held by Syrian Kurdish forces further east along the border with Turkey, including large swathes of land captured from Islamic State with support from the United States.

Turkey strikes PKK in Iraq, as allied forces in Syria near key objective: Turkish warplanes hit PKK targets in northern Iraq over the weekend At least 18 targets belonging to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in northern Iraq were hit. The strikes targeted the Hakurk, Zap, Metina, Gara and Avasin-Basyan regions of northern Iraq.

3,444 terrorists 'neutralized' in Afrin operation: A total of 3,444 terrorists have been "neutralized" since the start of Operation Olive Branch in Syria's northwestern Afrin region, the Turkish General Staff said in a statement.

Industry 4.0 and Cyber Security
“Industry 4.0" (the Cyber Revolution), defined as the fourth revolution in the industry, will be a driving force as was in previous revolutions (1. Mechanization, water power, steam power; 2. Mass production, assembly line, electricity; 3. Computer and automation)
This revolution aims to connect the machines, devices, sensors and humans with each other through the link provided by the internet. The core objective here is to transfer virtual world to the physical world to create a self-determined artificial intelligence and to pass through an unmanned structure in production.
Of course, such a structure has surely to be protected against cyber-attacks. Therefore, cyber security should be the top priority for the companies.
With this unavoidable change, the companies have to create a new sense of security to ensure their resilience.
Security is achieved through the everyday actions of employees right across the company.
Towards a New Corporate Security Function
Security risks have become more complicated due to the changing nature of the business and emerging new type of threats such as terrorism, organized crime, information security. The new threats are asymmetric and networked. Therefore, dealing with these threats necessitates more skills and an extensive focus.
In many companies and organizations, corporate security personnel have a security background, and their skills are not compatible with the new context of the security. Thus, the corporate security function cannot comply with the changes in company’s business environment. As a result, the corporate security does not assume the tasks related to Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Emergency Response, and recovery operations.
However, the new vision for corporate security envisages the leading role for corporate security in overcoming any kind of threat directed to the assets of the company. Accordingly, the coping with the new and complex threats requires:
- a wide spectrum of security skills based on various academic qualifications and work experience,
- business orientation and knowledge rather than absolute security orientation,
- competencies such as good communication and commitment to coordination and project management.
